Many gift stores across Australia have aboriginal artefacts for sale. However, it is usually unclear where those artefacts have come from and how the sale of those artefacts help the aboriginal community.
At Mbantua, our main mission is to promote Aboriginal art and culture and help others learn as much as they can about the rich history and heritage of this community. We are a founding member of The Aboriginal Art Association of Australia as well as a member of the Indigenous Art Code. As a strong proponent of good ethics in the sale and distribution of Aboriginal artefacts and artwork, you can be sure our products are authentic and sold with respect to the artists and their community.
Aside from our gorgeous collection of Aboriginal paintings, we also have a range of Utopia giftware products that use designs from our artists. You can purchase cushion covers, wine coolers, candles, ceramic mugs and mouse pads among others.
Mbantua also has a collection of delightful zebra stones that are found only in Kununurra in the East Kimberly district of Western Australia. A stone with an intrinsic zebra pattern, it is a great piece of décor or sometimes even used for its healing properties.
When purchasing a painting from Mbantua, we also send you a profile of the Aboriginal artist who painted it as well as a certificate of authentication. If you would like to see these paintings and other giftware and artefacts for sale, we have two galleries in Alice Spring and Darwin.
Feel free to browse through our online store to find a piece that you would like. We offer free shipping on unstretched paintings within Australia and internationally. For any questions about our Aboriginal artwork, get in touch with us on +61 8 8952 5571 or via the online form.
