Lennie is the daughter of Oscar Namatjira and granddaughter to Albert. She grew up in Hermannsburg where she learnt to paint in the style of her father and grandfather. Lennie is also known under her married name of 'Lankin' and sometimes spells her name as 'Lenie'.
