Framing and Stretching

When buying your Aboriginal Art from Mbantua Gallery it will usually be shipped to you neatly rolled in a cylindrical mailing tube. However you can choose to have it 'stretched' and stapled onto a lightweight wooden framework. This way it is all ready for you to hang and admire on your walls when it arrives.

We usually talk about 'stretching' the canvas for Aboriginal art rather than the traditional means of 'framing' the artwork. This way the whole painting can be seen and enjoyed.

On our website you will be offered the choice to have your painting stretched before it is sent to you. This will depend on the size of the painting though, as freight becomes very expensive the larger the painting. Of course you can always contact us for a quote for the stretching of larger paintings.

Our stretcher frames are all custom made to fit your artwork. This will cost a little extra but will save you a bit of work! In addition, if your artwork is a gift for someone special, they will especially appreciate unwrapping the present to find it all ready to hang on their walls.

In the table below you will find a list of painting sizes and the cost of stretching for that size. This cost includes freight to Australian domestic residences but the cost of shipping to international destinations will be calculated on checkout.
