In this painting Michelle depicts olden day life in her countries Ngkwarlerlaneme and Arnkawenyerr and so Michelle says she has titled this painting 'Country'.
Women wearing traditional skirts can be seen at their campsite, accompanied by their hunting tools such as boomerangs and nulla nullas. They are preparing the food they have collected during the day, including arlawatyerr (sand goannas). A humpy is an olden day housing made of brush and these are still made to this day.
