Jimmy grew up off the coast of Central Arnhem Land in Milingimbi Island. He worked as a labourer and builder before beginning to paint in the late 1970's. His style is distinctive with symmetrical, straight lines. He has had his works exhibited both nationally and internationally and they can be found in collections worldwide.
