Taralyn began painting for Mbantua Gallery in 2023. During a bush trip to Utopia in October of that year, she was given her first canvas and paints while waiting at Atnwengerrp, where many regular artists were provided with materials.
Taralyn lives in Ampilatwatja with her husband, Roy Clarke, and their sons. Roy, the son of Utopia artists Janice Clarke Kngwarreye and the late Wally Clarke Pwerle, supports Taralyn's artistic journey. Taralyn's father is Simon Morton Petyarre, and her late mother was from Yuendumu. Her aunt, Colleen Morton Petyarre, has been painting for Mbantua Gallery for many years.
Taralyn's painting represents design elements associated with her country, Ampilatwatja.
