Lulu Teece Petyarre was born in 1955 at Lake Nash outstation and is an Alyawarre artist connected to Ampilatwatja Country. She began her artistic journey through the Utopia Women's Batik Group in the 1980s before transitioning to painting on canvas.

Lulu learnt through observing many respected Utopia women artists, including the renowned Petyarre Sisters, and her batik works were included in the significant CAAMA project Utopia - A Picture Story. She later began painting for Mbantua Gallery in 2023 after expressing her desire to share her stories through art.

Working in acrylic on canvas and linen, Lulu paints Bush Medicine and Country, drawing inspiration from her connection to the land and her knowledge of traditional practices. Her artwork reflects the stories and teachings passed down through generations of Utopia artists.

Lulu lives in Ampilatwatja with her extended family and continues to collect bush medicine, hunt goanna and maintain the strong cultural connections that inspire her paintings.
