Kaureen began painting for Mbantua Gallery in 2018, inspired by watching her parents and aunties; Tanya, Maggie, Alvira and Rosemary Bird. This inspiration led her to start painting herself.
Kaureen's stories were inherited from her father's ancestors and are deeply connected to her country, Ilkawerne.
