Maureen was born in Amoonguna and moved to Pipalyatjara where she learnt batik. She then moved to Amata where she began painting her father's country and Tjukurpa (Caterpillar Dreaming).
Maureen enjoys painting and likes that her daughters will learn the stories and paint when they are older, and in the future, when their children's children are born, they will learn about their grandfather's country.
In this painting, Maureen paints women collecting Imuna (Bush Food) that she can find in her country, Pipalyatjara.
