Artwork Story
This is a stone axe from the Northern area of Queensland and was possibly made sometime in the 1950's. The stone itself is very old and would have been ground into shape in a grinding grove. This axe would have been used as a weapon or a ceremonial object and would have been a very valuable trade item.
