This fighting boomerang is from the Western Desert area of Central Australia. It was carved sometime during the 1950's. Made with an adze, this boomerang has been firehardened and had red ochre rubbed on to the wood. There is also evidence of charcoal, likely from fire prodding. This boomerangd has had a repair made to it at some stage in it's life.
