Thompson is the son of artist Jimmy Nakurrudjilmi Nganjmirra and the brother of Robin Nganjmirra. Growing up in a family of artists, Thompson began painting at a young age and has since become a senior artist at Injalak. His work is characterised by fine lines and meticulous skill, showcasing his deep artistry and attention to detail.
