Artwork Story

Tommy paints the story of the caterpillar or grub (tyape) found in his country, Irrultja. The colours of the caterpillar are black, green and grey and looks similar to the witchetty grub.

Concentric circles are the sites of the caterpillar and connecting parallel lines are the caterpillar tracks. The background pattern depicts his country.
