Lindsay was born in Santa Teresa although at some stage moved to Hermannsburg where he was fostered by the Ebatarinja family. It seems Lindsay began painting later in life, around the early 1950's and passed away sometime in the 1960's.
This landscape by Lindsay reflects the colour and formation of the many ranges, hills, gorges and flora that are found in Central Australia. Central Australia truly has the blue and purple colours of the ranges in the distance, the rich colour in the sand and an amazing contrast when the plentiful flora is in bloom.
The corners of this painting are a little rough but otherwise this artwork is in good condition.
