Marlene Young Larry is the adopted daughter of Dr. George Tjapaltjarri, a Pintupi traditional medicine man renowned for his 'Tingari Cycle' stories. Marlene learnt to paint with his guidance. Although Dr George's paintings relate to the male ancestors travelling the land, Marlene's relate only to female ancestors travelling their land around the western and central desert.
This is a story about women's Tingari. The women are represented by 'U' shaped motifs, concentric circles represent the sites where they are gathering and parallel linear work protruding from them represents their travelling lines.
