Cassidy was among a small group of artists from Napperby who exhibited at Hogarth Galleries in Sydney in the mid-1980s. He painted depictions of the Caterpillar and Goanna from his homeland near Napperby. The Bush Tucker Dreaming, which includes the waterhole and emu tracks, is connected to his grandfather's country near Mt Allan.
