This is an adze made Number 7 style boomerang from the Central Desert area of Central Australia and was carved sometime in the 1930's.Incised line patterns can be seen in the wood as well as a spinifex resin repair. This is a very well used boomerang and would have been used on a daily basis for a multitude of purposes.
