Tex started carving in 2018. He makes sculptures, boomerangs and spears. Tex learnt how to make them from his cousin, Sandy Hunter. There is a sculptural tradition in Central Australia that has deep roots across many generations.

Tex's mother is Colleen Morton who is a well-known artist from Ampilatwatja and has been painting for a long time. Currently Tex lives in Atnwengerrp in Utopia region with his family.
