Description

Weida's painting represents the Tharrkarr (Sweet Honey Grevillea) plant.

The Tharrkarr is considered to be an important plant to the Aboriginal people because of the sweet honey found in the flower. The honey is sucked from the bright orange flowers or can be steeped in water to make a sweet drink. The story that Weida paints of the Tharrkarr belongs to Atnangkere Country.
