Nosepeg was born in the Pintupi/Wenampa country, near Lake Mackay and Kintore. He began painting at the onset of the Papunya art movement, depicting his stories of Bush Tobacco and Grass Seed Dreamings. In 1989, he was featured in the documentary 'Nosepeg, A Man For All Times' by Billy Marshall-Stoneking, and his life is also chronicled in 'Wildbird Dreaming' by Amadio & Kimber.
Nosepeg appeared in films such as 'Jedda: Journey Out of Darkness' and television series including 'Whiplash' and 'Boney'. An influential elder, he was well-versed in various cultures and formed friendships with former Prime Ministers Gough Whitlam and Malcolm Fraser. He was also a co-discoverer of the gravesite of explorer Lewis Lasseter.
Nosepeg paints Inma (Dance) - a special gathering night. Men and women, represented by 'U' motifs, are shown dancing all night.
