Lisa Mills lives a very traditional aboriginal life in the Utopia Region, her homeland. Born at MacDonnell Downs Station, just north of Irrweltye, Lisa grew up between both Irrweltye and Amperlatwaty (further north) where she went to Amperlatwaty school. Lisa began painting in July 2006, where her first works were for Mbantua Gallery. Her daughter, Shakira Petrick also paints for Mbantua Gallery.
