Faye was born at Santa Teresa Mission and comes from a strong tradition of artists. In 1988 Faye was a part of the original group of women who were introduced to lino block and silk painting, by Cait Wait. This group later became known as Keringke Arts. Faye has been painting since this time and has established her own particular style. Her dreamings include Kangaroo, Witchetty Grub, Honeyant and women's ceremonies.

Her work has proven to be very popular both in Australia and overseas.
