Connie was born and raised with her large extended family in the heartland of Alyawarre country approximately 200kms northeast of Alice Springs.

Connie first put paint to canvas in late 2003 after some of her family members told our Field and Research staff that she would like to do a painting. Mbantua commissioned her to do three small panels. Connie explained that she has three stories: the Honey Ant, which is associated with Ngkwarlerlaneme country; Honey Grevillea and an Acacia plant from Arnkawenyerr country (like a suburb of Ngkwarlerlaneme).

A respected artist, Connie's style usually comprises of intricate fine dots when describing the Honey Ant Dreaming or bold iconography when painting the Honey Grevillea and Acacia.
